OBX J Day Celebration Every Year the J1 community in the US celebrates J-Day. J Day is a nationwide celebration of the power of international exchange. International exchange participants will come together with their American hosts to "eat, play, and give" -- to share cultural diversity and American customs, to give back to their communities, and to have some fun. J Day is also an opportunity to raise awareness of the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program (EVP) and spread the word about the power and breadth of cultural exchange.

Outer Banks International Student Outreach Program (ISOP), CIEE and CICD invite all J-1 Summer Work Travel participants to join us.
We have partnered with a local organization who collects food for the children of Hatteras Island who do not have meals when there is no school. All attendees are encouraged to bring donations of canned goods! This is a great way for YOU to give back to the kids in your community and summer home.
There will be lawn games and FREE food donated by Pigman’s BBQ!
FREE T-shirts provided to the first 50 participants!
Make sure to invite your friends—the event is free and open to participants from all J-1 sponsors. Share your experience on social media using hashtags #CelebrateJDay, #EatPlayGive and #OBXJDay
